One hundred years ago, Hendrika Johanna Van Leeuwen, made public Problèmes de la théorie électronique du magnétisme (Problems of the electronic theory of magnetism, published in French published in the European Physical Journal) after having published a thesis with the same name, in dutch, entitled, Vraagstukken uit de electronentheorie van het magnetisme, working under the supervision of Hendrik Antoon Lorentz.

This 2021, between Wednesday December 15-th and Friday December the 17-th, with a series a very nice talks, with highly qualified female scientists, we will remember the 100 years of the publication of H. J. Van Leeuwen influential work, oriented to create visibility and awareness on the role of female scientists.

Note: "Despite the influential contribution of Hendrika Johanna Van Leeuwen's work, it has not been divulged as its deserved, and Dra. Van Leeuwen was never promoted as Professor in her life time at Delft University of Technology"
